Brand photography is all about showcasing the essence of a person and their business. My session with Laura KempPhotography in Glasgow was exactly that—vibrant, dynamic, and full of life. Laura, a talented photographer and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, wanted her branding shoot to reflect her authentic self and bold personality. Glasgow, with its mix of colourful locations and urban energy, was the perfect backdrop for this unforgettable shoot.
Bringing Her Vision to Life
Laura had a fantastic idea for her Glasgow brand photography session. Using Skittles to show her pride as a queer woman. It was such a creative concept, and I couldn’t wait to help bring it to life. As always, my wee black book of go-to locations came in handy! I knew exactly where to head to capture Laura’s vibrant energy.
We kicked things off in Glasgow’s bustling city centre, surrounded by the lively vibes that make it such an amazing spot for brand shoots. It didn’t take long before we found the perfect place to bring out the Skittles. Throwing rainbow sweets through the air while random passersby hyped us up? Pure chaos, pure magic, and exactly the kind of fun Laura wanted to showcase.

A Whirlwind Tour of Glasgow
After wrapping up the city centre, we hopped on the train, landing in Ashton Lane. If you know Glasgow, you’ll know Ashton Lane is always buzzing. Quirky cobbled streets, twinkly lights, and hidden gems around every corner. A quick pub stop gave us a laugh (and some good old Scottish charm), and then we ventured into the quieter back lanes to get more creative shots.
Laura’s energy made the whole shoot so much fun—whether it was playful moments with her film camera or posing under colourful murals, she brought her personality to every single shot. Of course, we also found a red bin to shoot through (yes, I have a thing for bins—don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!). These quirky moments are what make Glasgow brand photography sessions so unique.

Wrapping It Up
To finish the day, we made our way down to the Clyde for some riverside shots before heading up to a car park with epic city views. Here, Laura switched things up with her film camera, adding another layer of creativity to the session.
This Glasgow brand photography session was everything a branding shoot should be: fun, authentic, and entirely true to the person in front of the lens. Laura wanted photos that felt like her—not posed, not fake, just real. And from Skittles to skylines, that’s exactly what we created together.
